Well, I’m not sure if you’ve received any March 10 reports from Australia yet but incase you haven’t, I just wanted to let you know that there have been protests by Tibetans and supporters all around Australia, including in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Brisbane to mark the 10 March anniversary. These have been covered by national news media including SBS World News which can be seen by clicking the ‘Dalai Lama Anniversary’ piece at the web address below: http://video.sbs.com.au/player/news/index.php?chid=12 I’ll send any good pics from Canberra if I get any.
But courageous tibetans & supporters are still protesting “illegaly” (without a permit)
I am a local photographer who covered today’s events at the UN and the march from city hall. I have an image you may be interested in. It features Lhasang Tsering, former president of Tibetan Youth Congress after having cut the “colonial” stars from the Chinese flag.
